Ingredients
- 2 tbsps butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cups sauerkraut, drained
- 2 cups beef bouillon
- 2 apples sliced
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 potato, grated
Directions
- Melt butter in large frying pan.
- Saute onion until golden brown.
- Stir in sauerkraut and apple slices.
- Pour in bouillon and place bacon slices on top.
- Cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
- Add grated potato and continue to simmer, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
- Remove bacon and serve hot.
