Ingredients
Base
- 1 21 0z can cherry pie filling
- 1 pkge 18.5 oz chocolate cake mix
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp almond extract
Topping
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 5 tbsps butter of margarine
- 6 oz pkge semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Base
- Combine pie filling, cake mix, beaten eggs and almond extract until well blended.
- Pour into a lightly-greased, floured, 10.5x15.5x1" pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool.
Topping
- Combine sugar, evaporated milk and butter in saucepan and mix well.
- Boil for 1 minute.
- Add chips, stirring quickly to melt.
- Spread over cool cake.
- Allow to set.
