The search is over, the lot is bought, the plans are afoot
We’ve been living on Quadra island for almost two years now. There have not been too many places
for sale, but we finally found one that we really like. This is the short story of what we intend to
do with it.
Digging started.
Jesse and Nigel took down the old maple behind the house. Trimmed a few other as well.
Quiet couple of months on the lot
Stuart took down a tree near the septic field, Shane put the field in. Gravity fed field, so no pump required.
We had a side trip to San Josef bay for a bit of camping, followed by a three day / two night kayak trip
out of Telegraph Cove.
Met with Marshall, Sheldon and Shane to figure out the location of a septic field.
Spent a few nights camping at the lot. Stargazing was awesome - saw lots of the Perseid meteor shower during
the second week. Cut back a few blackberry bushes.
Attended a small party at a competing build site on the Winnipeg river. Pictures from there to follow
soon. We came back to Quadra after the wedding and closed the deal. Much paperwork to sign, but it all
worked out.
